The lively one: always has a full fruit basket at the ready, but is always on the verge of taking off. The 2021 RIESLING FRUCTUS combines the intensity of its aromas, from ripe peach and peach skin to seductive apricot and juicy, refreshing lemon, with a wonderful lightness. There is also a hint of Italian herbs as well as some dry stone. The typical Rheingau loess loam gives this 2021 RIESLING FRUCTUS its character: lively fruit in a light guise. The Riesling grapes are carefully harvested and matured in steel tanks. Instead of letting it ferment through, winemaker Mark Barth stops the fermentation at around 25 grams of residual sugar per liter in order to preserve the fruity harmony typical of FRUCTUS. As a result, the alcohol content in the wine is also quite low (10.0%).
