The brothers Julio and Eduardo Mestre founded Los Siete Misterios in 2010 with the aim of producing a mezcal that reflects the customs and culture of Mexico while supporting local, small producers. Together with experienced maestros mezcaleros, they developed a modern mezcal that is produced using traditional techniques. Agaves from various plantations in Oaxaca are harvested using traditional methods, cooked in underground ovens, ground and gently distilled.
